So I grew up in Hertfordshire, St Albans. It was a small place and everyone just seemed to stay there. They were born there, then went to school there, then got a job there and then just stayed there. Growing up I noticed this massively. I didn't want to stay in my little home town forever and ever. I wanted to travel the world. See different places, if I was getting a job I wanted it to be in London or somewhere that in my little held massive potential for growth!

Obviously as a little one I didn't know that London was just another place, but to me it seemed far and distant and they did the news in London, so it was held in high regard seeing the back drop of ITV news.

When I got to GCSE's, I studied business, it seemed like a smart thing to do . To be honest I wasn't far wrong because after a few months doing it I realised that I did want to be in the business world. It seemed natural to me, it wasn't forced, I didn't necessarily have a massive talent but it felt right to me.

I was an A level drop out too. At the end of the day, I hated the school environment, it didn't suit me and made me miserable. I knew I didn't want to go to university so for me I didn't really see the need to do A-Levels, the only reason I did it in the first place because I didn't know what else I wanted to do.

After this I went into work, the job I was doing weekends at since I was 15 let me become a full time member of the team. This when I first learn that customer service WASNT for me. I actually hated it. I felt like I shouldn't be responsible for being someone's punching bag. You know what I mean when a customer comes in and they have had a bad day so they pick on you all the way through their customer journey in the store. Everything is wrong for them and they treat you like a piece of POO on their shoe. Safe to say this wasn't for me either.

Like most I ended up staying there. It was easier . After 3 years I had had enough and I quit. On top of that being in my little town had also got on top of me, so I up and left there too.

I moved to Kent of all places. I had family there so it seemed right for me. and within a few months, though I was working in retail again I started to realise my potential. My friend wanted help with her business. I ended up coaching gymnastics which I had no idea whether I would enjoy that or not but it was another opportunity I was open to trying. Plus in my retail job I was offered promotions and was pushed through the management scheme.

Turns out I love coaching gymnastics. It is so very rewarding, I see it as a hobby, not even a job because I love it. The job satisfaction is so high and I see a long future in the gymnastics community. Now qualified Level 1 Women's Artistic Coach, qualified Women's Artistic 4 Piece Club judge and soon to complete my Level 2 Qualification in Women's Artistic Coaching

Now I own my own business. Been able to quit my full time retail job. Travel all over the UK and abroad for business. Been recognised for my achievement in front of nearly 1000 people. Become an Ambassador for a intuitive that I am very passionate about ( see my blog post for 'Why I love Nourish the Children'). Have my own website. Have the ability to work from home and I absolutely love it.
